Our Dreys

Red Squirrel Drey

We meet on Monday evenings (16:45 – 17:45 hrs)

The Drey is run by Sarah, with assistants Dawn and Jenny. We also have a parent helpers rota for each week.

Grey Squirrel Drey

We meet on Friday evenings (16:45 – 17:45 hrs)

The Drey is run by Fiona (Falcon), with assistants Lizzie (Kestrel) and Tumai (Peregrine). We also have a parent helpers rota for each week.

Activities

Here are some of the activities that our Squirrels may participate in:

• Visits from “local heroes”, eg a vet, Community Police Officers, etc
• Visits to the Reigate Caves, a local Fire Station, etc
• Cooking, campcraft
• Campfire songs
• Crafts, games, stories
• Climbing, Outdoor activities

Uniform

Uniform consists of a red sweatshirt with Squirrel logo, navy blue activity trousers (optional), a Group Scarf & Woggle (presented at the Investiture ceremony). All uniform can be purchased from the Local Scout Shop or via the Group. An optional 5th Reigate (Merstham) branded yellow T-shirt can also be purchased from the Group. We advise waiting to buy uniform for the first few weeks to see if your child enjoys being in Squirrels.
